Pleated polypropylene water filter cartridges have up to 20 times greater surface area than poly propylene spun water filter cartridges, giving them the capacity to catch more sediment and debris. This greater surface area also gives the greater flow rates and significantly extends the life of the filter before re-placement is required.

Due to the fact that they are washable and re-usable, they will reduce the costs of continually replacing the cartridge. They will eventually need to be replaced when the surface media deteriorates or perforates.

Use this filter for fine sediment filtering. Pleated filters are designed for high flow rates whilst retaining their micron ratings. These filters are used for fine sediment filtering and thus should be used as a pre filter before a carbon filter to protect the life of the carbon when using a twin filter system.

These pleated sediment filters are highly effective for sediment, sand, silt, rust, and algae removal and leave no chemical residues.

These filters can carry an extremely high level of sediment before being replaced, and thus will continue to be high performing with a high flow rate for a length of time at least comparable to similar products.
